David Ascendant (Chronicles of the Nephilim book 7)

Cover David Ascendant (Chronicles of the Nephilim book 7)
He had returned in time to mount his forces. The Philistines seemed uncoordinated in their strategy and had fought half-heartedly as if they were without leadership. The Israelites were able to repel their invaders quite easily. Saul noticed that many of their enemy’s iron weapons that lay in the battlefield had failed. It was usual for some weapons to break under the stress of combat, but there seemed more than usual this time. It had all the appearances to Saul of a miraculous victory. He won...dered if maybe Yahweh had granted him favor again.
He quickly banished that mad thought from his mind. Yahweh could not possibly have changed his mind. David was still alive.
As quickly as he had arrived at Gibeah to finish his fight, just as quickly he returned to the south to hunt his ultimate nemesis, the son of Jesse.
He received intelligence that David was now hiding out in the wilderness of Ziph. So Saul took three thousand of his men and camped at the hill of Hachilah, which was beside the road on the east of Jeshimon.
