She shrugged, not even looking at him. One tear in the flesh and there’d be hell to pay. “I work for the FBI homicide and serial killer division, so we get a great deal of gross. After a while, you stop thinki...ng about it and work on autopilot.”
He watched her fold the skin into perfect bundles. It was meticulously done. “Yeah, I guess.”
Finally she looked up, needing to know why. “You don’t like us do you?”
Kane shrugged, nonchalantly. “You’re outsiders. Why does it matter what I think about you. We’re just Indians, right?”
