Jesse had texted, saying everyone went to a party. As I went inside, dropped my books, and headed upstairs to grab a bottle of water, I almost screamed when I glanced into the living room.

    My dilemma was what to do. It would be easy to leave. She wasn’t asking for anything. I could downstairs, change, and head to the party. It would be easy to tell Hannah her sister was moping at home or even Jamie.
