“This shorter version of “Just Wanted You To Know” was published in the August 2000 issue of Redbook, and my favorite thing about it is that a woman wrote in to the magazine: “Recently, my husband left me for our infant son’s baby-sitter. Your fiction selection, Jennifer Crusie’s “Just Wanted You to Know” (August), kept me laughing while I made the transition from a tear-stained wreck to a woman who finally realized that she’d been given a second chance at a better life. I’m even going to send a... copy to my soon-to-be ex-husband for his reading enjoyment!”
