Courtney waved his hand, dismissing my disagreement. “Girl, a ceremony and vows are just a mere formality.”
I took a deep breath and decided to suppress that particular anger. T...hat wasn’t what I was irritated with at the moment. It was this God–awful dinner that I had to sit through.
