“We found a spot without too much trouble and tumbled out of the car in a tangle of coats and scarves, and I was feeling relieved to be out with Emma and Deena like it was any other basic Tuesday night. It was almost enough to make up for Spence not texting me to wish me happy Valentine’s Day.
