My father raised his eyebrows at me.
“He stopped by earlier today. Has he sent you now to negotiate?”
“Negotiate what?” I asked.
Seth sighed from beside me.
“Kye wants your dad to spare Melissa and her baby, even when the child isn’t born with red hair,” Seth explained. He seemed indifferent that his ex-girlfriend was possibly going to either be his second wife, or executed, depending on the hair color of the baby she was carrying.
