I grab a bottle of water from the fridge and unscrew the cap. “How can I be? It’s dangerous. Look, whatever they need to do with their biker world is up to them, but he could get hurt.”

“It worries... me,” I sigh, tipping my head back and talking a gulp of water, swallowing a few painkillers.
