“The trip back through the halls was mostly uneventful too, thanks largely to the amount unfamiliar staff wandering around. Or standing still and observing. I'm sure they must've wandered about a bit at first, even if it was just to reach the arena and find their no doubt carefully allocated spots so that they could carry out the most conspicuous attempt at inconspicuousness I've ever seen. Carnival was oddly quiet throughout the trip though. It was a really weird quiet too. No...rmally, if she's playing hologram she'll be virtually silent unless an appropriate moment for interaction arises. Sorry, no, make that an appropriately-amusing-to-her-even-if-it's-awkward-for-me moment for interaction. If she's relaxed though, she breathes gently and you can hear her gentle but slightly erratic footfalls. Or I can anyway. Step, step, step-step, step, step-step-step, step-step, step.
