“Andrew Carnegie, July 1881 Carnegie enjoyed horse-riding; he looked taller in the saddle, and always cut a dash in his tailored suits while out riding in New York’s Central Park among the well-to-do. It also offered him a welcome respite from the multitude of business projects now administered from his new office at 19 Broad Street.
