“I lost the sense of time and had the impression that it had only been three weeks, when actually Marouan was already two months old. Jacqueline told me that we arrived in Geneva on December 20.I was so afraid when she first settled him on me. My arms couldn’t hold him, and I was in such a state of confusion, shame, and suffering all mixed together that I didn’t quite realize what was happening.
