I was too busy to worry about it much anyway; after cleaning the parlor, Karen handed me a vacuum and told me that I needed to clean the carpet, which meant every single step of all of the mansion’s staircases. The vacuum didn’t look heavy, but it was, and my legs and arms were soon crying out in pain every time I had to lug it up and down the stairs. The task took me all around the large house, and with every step I took, there was a new surprise waiting to find me.
  There were at least five different bedrooms, not including mine or Victor’s, but it would hardly surprise me if there were more hidden away. I also stumbled upon what looked like a personal movie theater: A giant flat screen TV screen filled half the hall, and in front of the TV were four rows of chairs, enough to hold sixteen people.
