“A trendy studio wasn’t far from her home and the instructor, a woman that could’ve stepped out of a bodybuilding magazine, was kind and gentle.
The class began and Kali got a spot in the back. Her yoga matt still looked brand new. Something that kind of embarrassed her considering how worn out everybody else’s looked. She thought, briefly, about running it over with her car to give it a more used appearance.
The class lasted forty minutes and by the end Kali’s muscles felt like Jell-O. ...She lay on her matt after class until everyone else had cleared out and then rose, rolled up her matt, and headed out.
