Or I could have taken the short hop up the highway to Milwaukee, where my friend and client Herb Kohl would be rewarded for his excellent service with a fourth term in the U.S. Senate. I decided to spend the night in Washington with Rahm. I knew it would mean a lot to him if I showed up—and I also thought that, just in case the numbers were wrong and the night went sour, I should be there for his very pointed “I told you so!”MoreLess
