He rolled his huge shoulders, then grimaced at the pain that caused as the flesh bunched around his bullet hole.
“My bear can smell good even when he’s locked inside me.”
“‘Smell good’”, she repeated, as if tasting the phrase. “Did you, um, go to school? I mean, if that’s not offensive to ask.”
