The seventh Assasin's Creed book is based on extracts from two journals. Set jsut before the French Revolution and during Elise grows up in Versailles with her parents. Her best friend is orphan Arno who also lives with them.
When Elise is ten years old she is supposed to be told about her destiny. But an event a couple of years before shows Elise more about her own destiny but also about who her parents really are. And who Arno is.
Elise's stuborness makes her discover everything faster than planned but makes events also happen in a way which weren't planned.
This Assasin's Creed story is very different than all the others. It feels more like a background book, explaining things but feeling (for now) not related to anything you ahve read about.
I'm going to try being as honest as I can in this, and I mean no offense. I really enjoyed the book and the extra story of Élise, but it was only at the game scenes of the book where I started feeling a little disappointed. If you had taken in a little more effort on the last few phrases of the day, I would have given this book five stars. Good extra stories, not good game scenes.
