    "Today," he said, trying to ward off some of the irritations of the journey, "I am going to have sex. Oh, for God's sake, get off the road, you stupid animal." He thought of Kim lying in his bed, all warm and sleepy, limbs spread out, ready and waiting for him. What if she left though? What if he got back and she wasn't there?
    The idea spurred him to put his foot on the accelerator and honk again at the sheep, who rushed off the track as if mortally insulted.
