Feeling more tired than I did when I went to bed, I wander downstairs in my pyjamas checking my phone for . . . nothing.

    ‘Go on then. You’d better go back up to bed. I’ll Monday 9 May come and take your temperature when I’ve got Krish off to school.’ ‘Why don’t you take it now?
