“Originally it had been one of the big, four-horse, covered wagons which made the great cross-continental trails, taking travellers from the East to California. Instead of the canvas-covered top the sides were now made of wood, squarely built. The right side was made in two pieces, the outer of stout wood, serving as a stage, for this was a medicine show wagon. On the false side and the real sides, in glaring red, gold-edged letters, against the yellow of the wood, was emblazoned a message to the world.

The little farthead hates the thought of using the providence given Gatling gun against the Apache who are on the verge of over-running the town and slaughtering all in it, including himself. they have already killed dozens. Of all the unbelievable things that Edson has written, THIS is the most egregious.

All this "pain" from the Fog group, about the lack of chivalry in using the Gatling gun to save hundreds of lives from the Apache slaughter, would give anyone a pain in the left backside. Edson is like treacle mixed with soot, and cesspit refuse. His readers obviously had no intelligence or he would not have sold more than a single volume of each book-if even that much.Write Review:
