‘Dunno, Tom,’ the corporal replied. ‘I think it’s got something to do with the postings. I’ll secure your rifle while you head over there.’ Tom handed his Lee Enfield .303 to the corporal, placed his slouch hat on his head and marched smartly to the unit’s orderly room.
