“The wings swayed slightly, the long finger feathers at their tips stirring the dust. Carly pulled Rosemary to a quick stop and sat motionless, her heart racing. Her attention was fixed so intently on the condor that it took her a moment to realize that Matt had slid off Barney and was approaching the spring.
