All In: Paying to Play (Gambling With Love)
“And this morning in the shower before I left for work. I've never felt this way about anyone, not that I've had many relationships other than a few in college. Is this even a relationship? Despite the fact that the man can drive me nuts, I still want to be in his arms at night and see him first thing every morning.
When I walk into my dad's suite, I wave to the secretary and head back to his office. Just being on the floor reminds me of that damn nightmare. The one where I was trapped in here while it flooded. The thought makes me shiver.
Stopping in his doorway, my dad waves me on in as he finishes his phone call. I look around his office, admiring the plaques on the walls while I wait. After talking to someone about a document subpoena for a few minutes he finally hangs up.
"Hey, Dad. What's up?" I ask. He left me a voicemail this morning telling me to stop by the office as soon as I was free.
He sighs and leans back in his leather chair, steepling his index fingers ...on his chest.MoreLess
