“When Black Halo took to the stage a little while later, ready to rock some serious ass, the crowd were fired up and totally ready to riot along with them. They lapped up all their onstage antics. Ash felt playful and Rock Giant was bouncing about too, and for once everything seemed to work as planned as they all poured their energy and passion into the music to deliver one kickass number after another. Ash was still buzzing from his in-tent make-out session with Ginny, and feeling loved-up and hyper-alert. Spook’s fingers were flying fast enough to produce sparks as he owned the fretboard of his purple Washburn like it had been sutured to his hands at birth, and best of all, touch wood – he stamped the floor – Iain hadn’t made a single mistake or screwed up their rhythm with an out-of-sync beat.
They’d cracked it, and were finally playing as a band at their level ought.
The key definitely seemed to have been scratching ‘Fatal Error’ from the set and replacing it with a less dr...iving but equally intense number that relied more on Rock Giant’s bass wizardry than on Iain for the underlying beat.MoreLess
