“Greg peeked around the door to Aisha’s office.
“Hey.” She got up from her desk and gave Greg quick a hug. “I didn’t know you were coming by.”
“Well, I was downtown already, and I know you had your big final interview, so I thought I’d surprise you and see how things went.”
“I think it went great. I’ll find out if I got the job in a couple of days.” Her desk phone rang. “Excuse me for one second.” Glancing at the caller ID, Aisha sat down, slipped on her headset and answered the phone. “Aisha An...derson.”
“Aisha. This is Bill Weinstein.”
“Bill. How are you doing today?”
“Fine. Fine.” He sounded much calmer than he did the last time they spoke. “Listen, I want to add on two fifteen-second TV spots to my package.”
Aisha tried to contain her enthusiasm. “That’s great. You’re making a wise choice.” She looked up and caught Greg’s eye as he walked around her office. He winked and then continued studying the awards propped up in her bookcase.MoreLess
