“‘I refuse to remain here a moment longer,’ she said. ‘I’d rather get soaked and then be able to change into dry clothes than sit here for an hour or more whilst we wait for the rain to pass.’ A chorus of approval greeted her decision and with the blankets held over their heads they made a dash for shelter.
