‘Nope.’ ‘Do you take an active hand in caring for the dolphins?’ he asked.
‘We all do,’ she said simply. ‘This place runs with a team of committed professionals, and every one of us can turn their hand to anything. Even Bob, the groundsman, is expected to interact with the kids, ...and he loves it. We don’t have a full-time vet—that’s a gap—but we get online help. Usually injured dolphins don’t come straight to us. They’re found in more populated areas so the initial vet work is done there. They’re brought to us to give them time and space to heal. There’s not a lot of hands-on work to do for a healing dolphin.
