A Lesson in Pride
“Memories of Alysanne's wedding night flooded his mind, causing more than an uncomfortable lump to form in his stomach. Every woman he'd been with since that night was compared to her. All had come up far too short. He'd waited a couple of weeks before visiting, thinking it best to stave off any unwanted gossip. Not that anyone knew what they'd done.
