I really hoped I'd love this book just as much as I loved the first three books in the series but unfortunately, that didn't happen. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed reading "A Court of Frost and Starlight". It was so much fun to once again meet all the characters but I was kind of missing the excitement I felt while reading the first three books. Those books were absolute page turners and I couldn't put them down anymore which wasn't the case with this part of the series. The plot was inter

esting and I wasn't bored but there just weren't any particularly exciting passages that would've made me want to read this book in one sitting.
==============
My original five star rating reflected my utter adoration with this world and these characters rather than the particular merits of this book. Whilst this novella was created to bridge the gap between the original trilogy and the rest of the series, I can acknowledge that little occurs here and that this may be a superfluous addition. However, anything that gives me more inner-circle antics, Rhysand exposure, and journeys in the Night Court will never not get a five star rating from me.

However, upon distancing myself from this book I can see that it didn't quite live up the excellence of the rest of the series instalments, for me. I am appreciative of the extra content and loved my initial reading experience but the lack of action made me realise I could not conceivably award this the same star rating as I have done the previous three books.

This book series is one of the best I've ever read, the tension she create between the characters is utterly amazing. It feels like I can feel everything that's happening, this book has brought me so many smiles, laughs, tears even. This is truly an amazing series

A good(ish) book - Though I'm surprised it is not a novella. I didn't really feel there was much of a plot but I'm still a fan of Sarah J Mass' work. I have a feeling the next book will be much better.
On another note, if you have not read the Throne of Glass series (by Sarah J Mass) you'd love it to bits.

Yeah, the material is just copied, but you can skip over the more graphic parts and then it’s still a pretty okay book (though she does plagiarises everything).

Sarah J. Maas plagiarizes the crap out of everything, nothing in here are her original ideas, she borrowed them, plus the graphic inappropriate material is enough to make me hate her writing, which I do. There are better writers.
