“Nothing she did worked. One side of her nose was clogged. Well, she had another nostril. She drifted off, but the blockage moved to the other side. A shake, and she breathed fine on both sides. Then something touched her lips, and she squealed.
Opening her eyes in the darkened room, Margot found two green ones blinking at her. “Was that you, Odds? What is the matter with you?”
“I’m scared of the dark.”
“You are not!” She scooted his bum over the side of the bed, and heavy paws for s...uch a tiny animal thumped the floor. “Go catch mice.”
“I’m telling you, the boogie man is in the hallway.”
“Honestly, you know I need silence when I sleep. You—”
